Ikea: What's in my shopping bag? Mini Project!

My husband and I went to Ikea to get a few things for our home.







These are the items I got for my mini project.

$1.99 -- I got two.







$3.99 / 10 pack. I got one in brown and one in black.








I put the dried plants together to create a little bit of contrast. To use just one color would be quite boring.

The potpourri and stones keep the dried bouquet in place.






Done!

This arrangement is for our bedroom, it was a challenging item to photograph. Had to carry it around while finding the perfect lighting that day, finally had it by the kitchen.:D

Zara Home Store

The spanish retail chain Zara has launched its own home stores - Zara Home. After looking through their online catalog, I was awe struck by all the beautiful rooms and textiles. And if the home store is as affordable as the clothing stores they will be a welcome addition to my shopping list. Unfortunately, the Zara home line is not yet available in the states.

The rainy season is upon us and what do you need to protect the interior of your house but a stylish doormat. Say goodbye to grandmas welcome mat. Anthropologie has released a collection of beautifully designed mats from $38-$48.

Giesha Lamp

I saw a version of this lamp in the most recent version of Domino magazine and fell in love. I was pleasantly suprised to find a more affordable version at Urban Outfitters for only $42.00.

Etched Glassware at Peekkeep

Etched glassware is just the thing to transform your dinner party into an enchanting evening. The first set of black Art Nouveau patterned glassware are by Emile Gallé. Each set has one piece each of six different patterns. The second berry and stem glasses are made out of Pyrex, so they look delicate but are extremely strong. I just moved into a new apartment and have become obsessed with finding
the perfect home accessories. I have been trying to find more original pieces. I came across this really fun home accessories store Velocity Art and Design. Check out these lamps.

Rare Device in Brooklyn is great place to find housewares by up and coming designers. Check out this gorgeous bud vase trio by designer Lighten Up (also located in Brooklyn). They are so pretty you don't even need to add flowers. Get all three for $125.

Chery Blossom Lights by Graham and Green

I came across these fabulous lights. These cherry blossoms can add mood to any room or occasion. They come in pink or white and are available in February from the UK shop Graham and Green for $32.00 (approx).
