Opening Ceremony and Pendelton

For Fashions Night Out last night I attended the Opening Ceremony's French flea market at the Ace Hotel. The real stand out of the evening for me was the Opening Ceremony Pendelton collaboration collection. Opening Ceremony brilliantly transformed the signature patterns and prints of Pendelton into high fashion pieces.

Minx Nail Decals

I have been seeing the most amazing nail jobs lately in New York. Yesterday I saw a girl on the corner and each of her fingernails was painted a different shade of pink. And today at the pharmacy my cashier had the most amazing mint green nails and one nail on each hand had an intricate black and white pattern. I started to think am I going to the wrong salon? I did some research and found out that these crazy patterns are most likely Minx nail decals. They can only be applied by a certified salon which you can find on their website. Mad Men Style Inspiration

What I Want Now: Neon Fashion

Now that the sun is blazing and the days are hot, I want to wear bright colors and pretend I am headed to the boardwalk – instead of to work. These retro neon colors remind me of middle school (in a good way). All I need to do now is tease my hair and get a skateboard.

Black and White Tie Dye

I saw a girl walking on the street yesterday in the cutest pair of black and white tie dye leggings. I like the edginess of black and white tie dye and it doesn't feel like such a 70's throw back.

Rose Gold - Perfect for the Summer

I have a recent fixation with rose gold. It is the perfect metallic shade for the summer. It has that soft "sunset" feel to it and makes me long for evening walks on the beach and poolside cocktails.

Spring - It's All About White

After many months of dark colors since the spring has sprung I am totally infatuated with the color white. White jeans, the perfect white t-shirt, and dressy white sandals are all on my shopping list this month.

What to Wear Now: Spring Scarves

My favorite thing to accessorize with right now is a light weight gauzy scarf. It adds just a bit of coziness on a chilly spring morning and looks chic throughout the day. For inspiration I thought I would share these images by Madewell 1937. I think they did a good job pairing scarves with these spring time looks.

Military Chic Accessories

With the whole military inspired fashion craze I thought I would post a few items that won't make you feel like Rambo. These 80%20 sandal shoes ($149) are really cute and fun. This fall there has been an influx of lace inspired looks that have had me searching through my lingerie drawer for the perfect accent piece.
