I know... yet another dim picture... sorry. Anyhow, this one was for my mother's 50th birthday this past October (yes, I had a lot of cakes to do October 2009)! Well, this one was different because it was a cheesecake. In the spirit of October, I added some candy corn to the edges of the cheesecake and they happened to be purple candy corn... purple is my mom's favorite color! I found this really lovely Monarch buttefly in the arts and crafts section of Walmart (not edible of course), which I thought added a little something extra to the cake. My mom is a big fan of butterflies, as well. And to finish it off I used a few long, skinny sparkler candles.
