"The Office"/Harry Potter Dessert Table..... Happy Bday D.J.

I was asked to do a dessert table for a young man's 18th birthday/graduation party. The cake was inspired by the hit TV show "The Office". The young man, D.J., often embodies the main character of the show, Michael Scott, by constantly using Michael's favorite catch phrase: "That's what she said!" For those of you who don't know, whenever Michael hears something in normal conversation that he can twist into a sexual inuendo he utters his catch phrase... D.J. does the same.
The dessert table was just supposed to be all about D.J. and inside jokes. The highschool he just graduated from is The Hill, located in Pennsylvania. Have you ever been there? I have and it totally reminded me of Hogwart's from Harry Potter. D.J.'s cousins always joked with him that he attended Hogwart's and would even call him "Harry"! Therefore, on the sides of the cake, I created two brownie pyramids because he loves brownies. The pyramids rested on trendy, square blue plates. Brown, blue and gold were the colors for this event. I adorned the pyramids with Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans (also from Harry Potter) and topped them off with an official Harry Potter trading card that comes in the Chocolate Frogs packages (if you are familiar with the movies, you'll know exactly what I am talking about). The table was then decorated with, of course, an owl because Harry Potter can't go anywhere with his owl, the bag of Bertie Bott's and two candy-topiary trees created by a talented centerpiece designer, Yvonne Diaz-Cruz.
